From Reactive to Proactive

Many wait for complications to arise, only to find the window for true prevention has already closed. While medicine excels at extending life through reactive care, it often does so at the expense of life’s quality.

Our approach to Longevity is driven by the idea of proactive engineering: addressing and optimizing what stands in the way at the earliest stage.

A simplified model, illustrating the theoretical shift made possible by proactive, early intervention.

Make your efforts count

Whether you are already investing in your health or looking for the right starting point, effort doesn't always translate into the intended benefits. By combining science and expertise we evaluate exactly how your body is performing today and where your essential big wins are hidden.

Data that tells your story

Subjective well-being is a valuable baseline, but it doesn't show how far you’ve drifted from your peak, nor does it predict your health trajectory for the decades to come. That’s why we rely on data to pinpoint what’s working, what needs optimization, and most importantly: where your biggest wins lie.

The Longevity Audit Explained

STEP FOR STEP

Phase 01: Deep Dive & Functional Testing

Duration: 90 min

Location: In-clinic

Your first session starts with a dive into your health history, suspected genetic risk factors, and current lifestyle, all the way up to your future health goals. This way, we truly understand your story and what it’s all about.

We conduct a series of functional tests to establish your initial baseline:

  • Grip Strength: Assessing biological age and systemic strength.

  • Stability: Measuring your foundation for lifelong physical independence.

  • Movement Quality: Screening for early indicators of musculoskeletal decline.

  • Circulatory Health: Blood pressure and resting heart rate scan for a snapshot of cardiovascular stress.

Phase 02: Clinical Assesements & Lab Work

Duration: 90 min

Location: Lab, Lisbon

With a clear understanding of your situation, it’s time to look at the numbers. We cannot improve what we do not measure. That is why we utilize gold-standard clinical testing to capture the critical biomarkers and performance indicators that dictate both your Lifespan and Healthspan.

Key assessments include:

VO2 Max Test

How: While wearing a mask that analyzes your breath, you'll exercise on a treadmill or bike, gradually increasing the intensity until you reach your limit. It measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize during peak effort.

Why: VO2 Max is the single strongest predictor of long-term survival. It serves as a massive functional reserve, dictating your ability to withstand physical stressors: from surviving infections and recovering from surgery to resisting chronic disease. Beyond survival, it is the foundation of a resilient heart, an efficient metabolism, and cognitive longevity.

DEXA Body Composition Scan

How: You lie still on an open scanner for about 10 minutes while a very low-dose X-ray passes over your body. It is painless and provides a high-resolution map of your Bone Mineral Density (BMD), muscle mass, and fat mass.

Why: To optimize longevity, we must minimize visceral fat: the dangerous hidden fat surrounding your organs that drives the chronic diseases accounting for 80% of all deaths. Simultaneously, we assess your muscle mass, essential for lifelong independence, and your Bone Mineral Density (BMD), to mitigate the risk of fractures, the leading cause of accidental death after age 65.

Blood Marker Panel

How: Through a comprehensive blood analysis, we examine a wide spectrum of biomarkers to establish a baseline, detect early signs of disease, and optimize longevity.

Why: By evaluating multiple systems simultaneously, this testing provides a detailed view of how your body is functioning. We move beyond basic screenings to offer actionable insights: from cholesterol profiles and insulin sensitivity to inflammation levels and hormonal balance.

Phase 03: Your Personal Body Manual

Duration: 1 week

Data is only as valuable as the insights derived from it. At this stage, we synthesize your entire dataset into a multidimensional view of your health. We identify what is thriving, what requires attention, and how you rank against your age group. All findings are documented in Your Personal Body Manual: the most revealing report you have ever owned.

Phase 04: Your Longevity Framework

Duration: 90 min

Location: In-clinic

This is where we precision-tune to bridge the gap between your current standing and your highest potential, addressing everything from low-hanging fruit to the hard work. Our approach includes tailored exercise guidelines and nutritional optimization, alongside evidence-based protocols for sleep, supplementation, and in specific cases medical follow-up. Everything is designed to manage risks, optimize metabolic health, and build the necessary reserves to stack the odds in favor of longevity.

LONGEVITY

The art of maintaining a high quality life, physically, socially and even emotionally, while outsmarting the usual decline that comes with aging.

FAQ

Who is The Longevity Audit intended for?

The Longevity Audit is designed for health-conscious individuals who recognize the importance of removing guesswork from their lifestyle. It is for those who strive for the biological optimum and have long-term health ambitions. We focus on people who prioritize being fully engaged in life for as long as possible—ensuring you can keep doing what makes life worthwhile in your 8th or 9th decade, whether that is picking up a grandchild, hiking 5 km, or carrying your own suitcase while traveling.

How does a Longevity Audit differ from a standard medical check-up?

A standard medical check-up is typically reactive; it is designed to detect if you are "clinically sick." Our focus is proactive and foundational. We look for the gap between "not being sick" and "optimal performance." By using industry-leading clinical assessments—often unavailable in primary care—we identify strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots before they become problems.

I am fit and feel great, is this still worth it?

Absolutely. In fact, starting early provides a massive advantage. There is a wealth of information hidden within every individual, regardless of how healthy they feel. Living at your best means making targeted adjustments based on metrics and biomarkers, which is far more effective when there are no noticeable complications yet. Most people only seek help once symptoms appear, but by then, the window for true prevention has often closed. As JFK famously said:

“The right time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.”

How often should I repeat these tests?

That is entirely up to you. We provide guidance based on your unique situation, your age, and the urgency of the required interventions. It is common to track progress on specific markers to see how your personalized Longevity Plan is affecting your health. Generally, a comprehensive re-evaluation every 12 to 24 months is desirable to maintain an optimal trajectory.

What happens if the tests reveal abnormal or high-risk values?

While our focus is on optimization, it is possible that high-risk factors may come to light. If the Audit surfaces values that require clinical attention, we will discuss the results transparently and guide you toward the appropriate medical specialists. This way, we leverage the best of both worlds: the life-extending power of modern medicine and the performance-enhancing power of Longevity science.

Will I receive an action plan after the audit?

Yes. Data without direction is just noise. Your results tell a story, and we translate that story into your evidence-based Longevity Plan. This consists of detailed interventions in:

  • Nutrition: Targeted adjustments based on your metabolic health.

  • Exercise: Prescription-based training designed to help you outperform your age group significantly on the most potent longevity metrics.

  • Supplementation: Precise protocols to address identified deficiencies or risks.
